Putin says Russia can raise oil output by 300,000 bpd
MOSCOW, Oct 3 (PRIME) -- Russia can increase its oil production by 200,000–300,000 barrels daily if needed, President Vladimir Putin said at the Russian Energy Week on Wednesday.
“We have raised by 400,000 barrels per day as we’ve agreed with the partners. We can raise by 200,000–300,000 more barrels a day if needed,” Putin said.
He also said that Russia has an evidently secure and partnership-based approach to energy exports.
Russia will work on raising exports in the nuclear power sector in order to maintain leadership. “We will work consistently on raising the exports orders amount in nuclear power, retaining the highest requirements for environmental and industrial security.”
The footprint of Russian companies on the global coal market must rise and be anchored at that level. Demand is most prominently rising in Asia-Pacific states, he said.
